In today's world of global commerce, preparing a correct freight invoice can be complex - it is not always immediately evident who pays the freight and the various transport charges.
Many of our customers require arrangements between their affiliates which are not always compatible with the traditional, simple terms 'prepaid' and 'collect'.
We have therefore taken the opportunity to publish our standard definition of the terms 'prepaid' and 'collect' on www.new.maerskline.com to assist you when doing business with us. We have also provided reference to the most common Inco terms 'CIF' and 'FOB'.
In case no specification is received, Maersk Line will apply its standard terms as attached.
